AT&T S4: Downgrade back to 4.2.2?

Any luck with the steps (that won't void the warranty as well) ? I upgrade to 4.4.2 (my mistake) yesterday and having problems with Wifi connectivity (keeps getting stuck and slow). I use AT&T Galaxy S4 and previously running 4.2.2

I'm so fed up with 4.3 that I called up the company I insured my Note 2 with and told them it's not working. I'm hoping they send me one with 4.2 or 4.1 fingers crossed!

I just looked in settings and its 4.1.2
I don't have the paper work on me but I think it was this place:
Global Warranty Group
When I purchased my N2 the day it came out the hole in the wall at&t store asked if I wanted insurance for $80. Its good for 2 years and 3 replacement phones, but each will be $75.
My only issue is that now I can't go on wifi because it's trying to update my phone back to crappy 4.3

No 4.1.2 is correct remember 4 2 2 was an ota dude you got the holy grail your boot loaders not locked and if it is it can be unlocked so flash and hack and mod away bro
Root it use titanium back up to disable the freaking update.apk no damn upgrade as you just killed the ota updater woot root and flash roms I wish I could see my signature? ? I would gladly trade

That's interesting, I thought all at&t s4s shipped with 4.2.2 at launch. Considering MDB and MDL are 4.2.2 and I thought MDB was the initial release of the ROM. But yes, do what metle geek said, root it and get titanium backup then freeze/uninstall (with backup) any system app that contains "OTA" or "software update" in their name.

Is the 4.1.2 an unlocked bootloader or does it require loki? Do you mind posting the build and baseband version? unless MDB is 4.1.2 :0

Does it really say SGH-I317? If so, then they sent you a galaxy note II

I317UCAMA4 is a galaxy note II build. Not S4. That would explain why its not on 4.2.2

Oh, you mentioned Note 2 when you were explaining the insurance thing. Didn't catch that one. I assumed it was an S4 because this is the S4 forum. My bad ;b

I didn't know it was an s4 forum, sorry. I just did a Google search and found this. The s4 is pretty similar though right? So rooting it and stuff should stop them bullying me into updating? LoL. I haven't been on wifi amd it's still popping up that I need to upgrade. Not cool.
By the way, I read in another for that this may work, any thoughts?
- reboot into Recovery mode and wipe the cache
- reboot into the OS and accept the updateIt'll fail (because when it tries to start the update process it won't be able to find the actual update.zip file - it's not there because you cleared the cache) and then it won't bother you to update again.

And this isn't just an s4 forum this is an s 4 thread android central covers almost all android devices and 98% if not 100% of flagship devices it's like android police or xda covers a vast array of devices underwritten by mobile nation it's sister sites include I more (apple) windows phone central crack berry (black berry) so please do explore there are note 2 threads just type in note 2 in the search or if your on the app go to unread look for samsung phones and you should see the note under it
