AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Text message says failed but sending multiple texts

I've had my Note 3 now for about a month.* This morning my texts were working just fine, but then I sent a text and the status bar just spins and eventually says Failed.* I then get a text from the person I sent it to saying they got it 10 times.* I'm using the default text app that came on the phone.* I have shut down and removed the SIM card and now do not know what to try next?* I'm getting texts in, it's just getting them out that is causing issues.* I did a test text to myself and the phone said it failed, but then I got it 3 times about 30 min later with the timestamp of when I originally sent it.* Any ideas of what the issue could be?

only times mine has done the multiple text thing is at work when I wander into a really bad signal area get message fails and recipient complains of multiple messages, figure somehow its not getting confirmation of sent while it has enough signal to send.

Google "message center number" for your service provider. Male sure it's correct.
