AT&T told me they had caller ID and 3rd party wasn't needed?

When I traded up from the Edge 7 to Note 8, they told me I didn't need to pay the $3 a month to a third party for caller ID anymore. They were wrong, apparently. Sure, I can see the number, but not a name or company behind that number. Also, my voicemail mailbox is gone from the phone. These are two things I'd love to get back and that I feel I should not have to pay a 3rd party for. Any suggestions?

I use Sync.Me for caller ID...it's free. And voicemail, I believe, has been relegated to an icon in the dialer app. Caller ID (for numbers not on your contacts) and Visual Voicemail services are usually paid add-ons on most carriers, unfortunately.
