AT&T vs. International Note 5 Information

Have you noticed a difference in battery life? I'd assume since the N920i doesn't have any added carrier stuff and runs smoother it would have better battery life and SOT as well.

No, their really isn't much of a difference. The bloatware did not use battery just sitting. I didn't use any apps to measure SOT or DST. I just used both on a normal day with normal usage and the battery was the same. The bloatware was enabled and also disabled and there wasn't any difference, at least that I have found to justify getting one over the other. Battery is good on both. May want to look here for more battery info.

I am desperately looking for a 64GB N920i in black to use my AT&T sim card in. I found some VERY disturbing spyware installed in my AT&T version by AT&T so it has been returned.

Carrier IQ
It cannot be deleted, disabled or uninstalled from the Note 5, you can "stop" it but it reenables within minutes. It is also a big battery and RAM drain. It sends constant feedback to AT&T about everything you do on your device.
Carrier IQ is a Sunnyvale CA based company, and a TERRIBLE company at that.

Keep in mind Samsung Pay is not installed on N920I and you will not be able to use Samsung Pay. You will get updates much faster though. If missing Samsung Pay isn't important, then enjoy!

N920A will definitely get the update to Marshmallow. The N920I will get it first. Why? Because the N920A is the AT&T version and you know how that works. Samsung test & update > AT&T Test & Update. So, it could be quite awhile before the N920A gets the update. I think by the time AT&T releases it, the next update of Marshmallow 6.1 will be out already. Now the N920I will get it probably by the end of this year or beginning of 2016 (Samsung Test & Update Only).

Hello. I'm from Poland and I have Samsung Note 5 SM-N920I. I broken screen in my phone and I can't found parts for it. I found LCD screens for SM-N920F, SM-N920T, SM-N920A, SM-N920P, SM-N920V, SM-N920R4. So I want ask you that screen in my Note 5 will be compatible with other versions. I'm sorry everyone for my bad english.

Hello Everyone,

I have both the AT&T (N920A) and International version (N920I) of the Note 5.

Here's what I have found thus far:

1) The symbol for 4G-LTE shows only "4G" on the N920I while the N920A shows "4G LTE" , but they are both on the LTE network that's a good thing.

2) I get 2 signal bars on the N920I, while I get 3 signal bars on the N920A. There must have been some tweaking from AT&T obviously. The only time I've seen equal bars between AT&T and an International brand was from the HTC M7 - M9. The HTC were US unlocked and unbranded.

Next you can see that's there is an update for the N920I, but not for the N920A.

Also S-voice is not correctly installed and cannot install on the AT&T version, while the International version have the correct high quality Samsung Voice TTS Engine. If you notice, they both have the same Samsung Voice Engine version.

The notifications are setup different, I like the N920I better, It's quicker to get to list of features. The N920I scrolls up and down, while the N920A scroll left to right.

Not sure if you can see it, but the N920A on the right has a slight yellow tint, while the N920I is more white. Just a little!

***IMPORTANT NOTE: N920I International does NOT come with Samsung Pay installed, I tried to look for it and install it, but it's no where to be found. I thought it would be already installed like the N920A, but it isn't. So, if Samsung Pay is important to you, then the N920I is not for you.

Other things I noticed:

1) The N920I definitely runs just a little more fluid and faster without lag than the N920A. The N920A has just a little lag at times. I believe it's due to the AT&T bloatware.

2) N920I unlocks faster than N920A in fingerprint mode. And time settings to lock the device are different. N920A doesn't have 5sec, but has 1hr. It's vise-versa for N920I

3) the N920I cost $719.99 and the N920A cost $739.99 (w/o tax).

So, that's what I have discovered so far. I hope this helps some of you trying to decide on which N5 to get. Hopefully, I can answer your questions before I get rid of one of them soon.

Hi.. I have a big problem.. I purchased in China a note 5 n920a refurbished unlocked but the menu was such as left n920i. So i have updated the firmware with p2b n920a and change all configurations and does not work network band in italy. So can i install with odin firmware n920i? Please help me..Thanks you.
