at&t white one x vs sprint lte

Can't argue with most of what you've said since it is your opinion, but I can address this issue. Yes, there are antenna's in the cover on the back. I've heard that other phones have had this an does not preclude third party covers.

However, your intimation that having the antennas in the cover and putting a case will degrade signal strength is silly. What difference would it make putting a case on the phone if the antennas were internal to the phone, on the cover, or wherever? Not trying to change your mind on anything, you're entitled to your opinion, but just wanted to point out that antenna in the cover makes no difference at all to signal strength.

yup, yup... yanno, i'll bet the people attending THAT meeting were the same ones who designed the HTC Sensation. Did you ever see the back of THAT phone? Two doors, ONE tiny one for Micro SD card that was impossible to get off unless you were willing to practically break your phone. They finally acknowledge it was too difficult to pry off, so what'd they do? They started sending the them "unattached" just like the battery door....<Shakin head> Ya gotta wonder, HOW, WHY, WTF?!

Now back to white phone. The more i look at pics of the concept white one and the HTC One X, the more i doubt i'll be able to "live with" the black one. I wish they had AT LEAST not painted the kickstand red, like in this still off of the "Designing HTC EVO 4G" video....It would've matched the aluminum sides and been really sharp looking, even with the two tone....

And even tho its "just a phone, just a color", blah, blah, blah, but to me, if it isn't "visually amazing", it could have 8 cores, i wouldn't give it a tumble - (ie Galaxy Nexus, case in point) (ugh) :p

Maybe they'll make the white one silver, like they did with the 3vo 3d.

I am in the camp that prefers the look of the One X over the ELTE. In fact, on Sunday I switched to AT&T to buy the One X and the wife went with another iPhone 4S. I was willing to try and deal with the functional limitations of the One X variant, e.g. fixed 16GB of storage. However, after 24 hours and at least a dozen dropped calls between us, we remembered why we left AT&T for Sprint several years ago. So we are now back with Sprint, and while I would prefer the HOX form factor, I am not will to sacrifice by going back to AT&T to get it. Sprint 3G data speeds may be terrible, but at least I know that I will be able to use my phone as a phone when I need it.

None of my friends or g/f with the white OneX seem to have issues with at&t. However, I'm with you. When I had it, my calls dropped all the time, and I wouldn't have service in areas where almost every other carrier did. I'm not sure what I did differently, but that's also another reason why I can't go back to at&t. Which is why I'm holding out for the rare ELTE white. So far, every year, its been almost two weeks or so after the release of the black one, they would release a white one. Hoping the same this year.

Am I really all alone on this one? I went to the ATT store on Monday and looked at the HTC One X. The screen is awesome. The color fidelity and sharpness of the camera was fabulous. (Oh how it needs a shutter button!) But the white color? It looked like a used bar of Ivory soap. And then the whole front bezel was black. You talk about two tone! I much prefer the black and red design of the EVO 4G LTE.

You'd LOVE the charcoal gray One X.

I was planning on getting the white HTC One X. But couldn't pass up on the $50 dollar price point for the gray HTC One X on Amazon. Pulled the trigger on it while the deal lasted (~2 days before Amazon pulled the plug on that price) and don't regret it one bit. It looks stunning in gray!

Or we could go with the new EVO, because this forum is dedicated to it....DUH. No AT&T trolls allowed here. =)

Are we even sure there will be a white one? I know everyone keeps talking about it, but I'm not sure where everyone got the impression. I know there was a white EVO4G, but was there a white EVO3D?

But even if there is, my opinion still stands. The design is the problem with the new EVO, not the color. I don't see the white being any less ugly personally.

Yea there was a white and silver 3D and I'm pretty sure this is why people are talking about a white eVOLTe

Keep in mind a VERY ... VERY important thing when it comes to battery life. That's how much the phone has to hunt for signal and the network it's on.

Sprint's version most likely will not last any longer with its slightly larger battery. The only benefit I see is the 16GB increase in storage space.

Sprint's could last even longer- if you consider the average Sprint user won't have LTE actually available, they can disable it altogether and just go 3G only- which should be better on the battery.

Eh, I prefer the EVOLTE personally. Probably because im from Chicago and those are bull's colors. It will go good with my D. Rose jersey. :)

I think the Bulls are playing golf right now. Go Sixers.
:D

Good god I would hope so. Losing to the Bulls after they lost the best defender (noah, game 3) and best offensive player on the team (rose obviously, game 1) would be embarassing. Then again if that flagrant foul would have got called game 6 it might have happened lol.

Edit: Don't worry the sixers will be joining them in 6 = - ).

:p

For most of us tech nerds, the 16GB isn't enough. However in my case, I don't use my phone as walking mp3 player or video player so the 16gb is more than enough. But hey, looks dont matter if your odd looking race car has a huge motor in it. lol

A huge motor with no gas though is still a letdown.... Smh

Most do prefer the One X design, its just in this forum the participants are more than a bit biased.

Actually to be completely fair 1. A few reviews I've read actually like the two tone black they just dislike the fact that its a finger print magnet. 2. A LOT of people prefer the evo to the one x because the evo dOesn't leave the camera poking out like the one x. Id love a smoke gray evo but you know what I could care less about the two tone because my case will cover it

A few do, but the majority don't. The new androidpolice review tore apart the design. I think it would be a pretty big landslide on a poll comparing the aesthetics.
