Atrix Reviews are Coming In!

Great review from Tech Fortune:

Review: Motorola's Atrix is the new king of the Androids - Google 24/7 - Fortune Tech

Some of my favorite quotes:

The Motorola (MMI) Atrix takes Android to the next level.
The Atrix is much more refined than other high end phones. While the EVO is big and bulky with a weak battery life and stuff protruding everywhere, the Atrix is light, smooth, unassuming and lasts forever on a charge
The screen on this new phone is a beautiful 4-inch 960x540 or 'qHD' covered in strong Gorilla Glass. ?this one's size alone blows away smaller screens. It is also bright and looks great from all angles.
While I personally can't recommend either Atrix accessory, the phone is simply the best Android phone I've ever used -- no qualifiers needed.
As other sites have said, I think this is one of, if not the best, Android devices on the market. It is everything that the Galaxy S phones are with a better screen (and that is saying something!), faster processor, better GPS and more RAM.

Despite the consistently Mediocre reviews of the laptop dock...I couldn't help but order it given the unique idea behind the device and what it represents for the future of mobile computing.

The hardest part is going to be waiting for the phone to ship.

Does anyone know when this phone will be coming to Canada? I am interested in ordering it. I am a newbie when it comes to android. I have been on blackberry since 2003.
Atrix does it have a notification light? Do you have to have gmail?

No idea when it will come to Candada.
Yes it does have a notification light.
No you do not have to have gmail...although I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to.

Also a Android newbie...I have a Blackberry Storm. Can't wait to make the switch.

I would love this phone except for 2 things

At&t's network: Yes I understand the Bionic is gonna be on VZW, but the 1GB of RAM compared 512MB on the Bionic (Which I still have no idea who that that was a good idea) is a kill for it. It doesn't make sense to have all the power but not enough space to let it basically run around. Also, they stop sideloading apps that aren't from the market! I know AC has the computer app, but I don't wanna have to use everytime I wanna try an app in beta or ported from XDA.

And Motorola: stupid bootloader, When I got my Droid2 I didn't think much of a locked bootloader, and thought it was something simple that hackers will bypass, not a stupid chastity belt thats impossible to get off of. Plus, Blur, I don't wanna have to make a Blur account!

But everything like the Dock, the mirror HDMI, the qHD display, the Dual Core with 1GB of RAM. I just wish the openness of Android wasn't taken away from these two companies. Otherwise if you don't care bout those kind of things, then this will probably be a great phone/device/media thing/laptop/swiss army knife.

Hahaha yeah, I kept looking at the hotel bed behind him and falling asleep instead.

I'm still waiting for the android-centric sites/blogs to get theirs and review RAWR

Updated with the New York Times one.

It's interesting that the Times say that the body is aluminum and not plastic...

Still haven't made up your mind?
