New to both att and the moto x. Does att delay updates like Verizon does or should I expect an att moto x to get lollipop in a timely manner?

I recently moved from VZW as well... but from what I've heard I think AT&T will deliver it quicker than VZW... VZW always holds on to any update way too long. But AT&T will want to test it and of course be sure it has their bloat. This is one reason I decided to go with the Pure Edition, since it comes directly from Motorola.

With my 2013 Moto X at&t rolled out their updates in a timely manner and I'm expecting the same for my 2014 Moto X but the Pure Editions will most definitely get updates sooner.

Yes it will be held up some. If you want the quickest the updates possible I would have gotten the Pure Edition. Works on att great!

Not to thread jack but does the att version have a lot of bloatware? And how much memory was available when you first get it?

It does have att bloat on it. Its the same apps as the rest of the att phones is my guess.

Yes it does have a bit a bloat. Thing that is annoying is the ATT address book app popping up.

I noticed less than on my previous verizon phones(blackberry, droid, iphones, galaxy s4). I uninstalled maybe 5 apps. Memory was around 10(I think). I may wind up getting the Pure edition in a few weeks. Unrelated to all this, I wish there were better cases available.

If you are on VZW, stop looking to get the Pure Edition.... the Pure Edition will not work on VZW, it was built for AT&T and T-Mobile only (GSM Device)... VZW did not want a Pure Edition on their network.

I just switched from verizon(samsung s4) to ATT( att branded moto x).

I forgot to look up earlier in the post that you had just moved to AT&T... sorry.

The Pure Edition is a great device... personally, I recommend getting the 32GB version of course just to be on the safe side with future changes and it allows you to upload or save more on your device.
