I ordered an att version of the frontier. But my question is will I have an issue if I dont have service or will it be like the regular one. I don't want to be bugged or lose features if I have the LTE version and don't turn on the cell service. If I will I will cancel my order and see if I can get the regular one later on. Please let me know your thoughts.

I have the ATT version. Great watch so far! You'll have to get a line assigned to it in order for it to act as a stand alone device. If you're not using it as a stand alone device it'll be connected via Bluetooth or if you're in a wifi network if you so choose. It has all the same features as the "normal" watch but has the added functionality of LTE for stand alone. If you don't care about having a stand alone feature then maybe the Bluetooth is the way to go.

Ah, gotcha. It will still have BT and wifi connection options so I don't see why there would be any issues. Did you get any deals? The non-LTE is cheaper on Best Buy than the LTE versions. Frontier version is showing sold out now though. Classic version is still available.

My wife purchased it because the non LTE was sold out. But didn't know if I would have any issues not activating it.

Got mine. Att version. Turned it on and never in two days have notifications came up about att service activation. It is just like a normal watch. I have however turned off all mobile services. But have the option later to turn service on.

However I tried to make a call when my phone was on the charger in the other room. Out of Bluetooth range I guess. I turned on mobile service and I started getting "Sim not provisioned". I went into settings and turned off mobile services and all is good again. This is the watch the s2 should have been!

Did you have wifi turned on? If you're connected via same wifi network you should still be able to get some of those features to work. Since I have the sim enabled I haven't tried the wifi functions yet.

That's all I tried. I assume notifications and such would work while on WiFi. As a matter of fact, I think the phone says it was connected remotely to gear s3. I need to play some more with it.
