ATT HTC One X or EVO 4G LTE???

The one X thus far has been awesome. The battery life is pretty good and in my opinion the design of the one X is way much better than the EVO LTE. What i will give the EVO LTE is that it isn't as wide and a little nicer feel in the hand. As for the SD card slot i do wish i had it seeing how i have a 32gb micro sd card filled with music from my previous phone (Photon 4G) but im still rocking around my Zune HD and im to attached to the Zune software to give it up, so i can live without the slot for now (If only Microsoft created a Zune app in the marketplace then i would be in heaven, wishful thinking i know). Being with sprint so long i will say this jumping to at&t not unlimited plan has me consistently checking my data usage through out the day and its messing with my mind haha. the past three months of bills from sprint show that i never went over 1GB (i blame this on there slow data speeds and just giving up on waiting for something to load) so i need to get over my insomnia.

Lol how did u not go over 1gb I go at least 10 gb a month even on 3g lol

I'm happy to see you live in an area she you have a good signal. Like I did many times over the past few years sprint keeps giving me a new phone and denies that its the signal that is thie the problem. I've had more dropped calls with Sprint at least two the per week . Thanks for your reply and good luck with the service you have.

I was just stating my experience with Sprint and this has been my experience in San Diego county as well as other parts of the county I've been in. To assume that everyone has dropped calls on Sprint because you have a problem is false. If your area doesn't have good coverage, then certainly you should find another provider that does better.

My parents live in a Verizon/ATT only area in a rural town. I was there yesterday and made a couple calls without dropping. Of course I was roaming on Verizon at the time. Unlike ATT, I get coverage wherever there is Verizon and/or Sprint so that's not an issue for me. Your mileage may vary.

I'm not assuming anything,I knows lots of friends and co workers who have been with the Sprint network over the last few years and they all say their signal sucks.... Thanks :)

Well as for my own experience i have always had a good signal quality.

I lived in Las Vegas for 4 years and in that time i drove home to Michigan 4 times. I had a good signal all across the US except in Utah (along the 15) where cell signals go to die, rural Nebraska and Iowa where my signal was a bit spotty.

Other than that i had no issues and have no complaints.

Then why stick with it? I don't know where you live so you might want to share that to help the original poster answer his question on which to go with. I've never been to Salt Lake City so I cannot give an oppinion on the service there.

I asked if I could opt out with a few months left out my contact ,except Sprint is demanding I pay them a fee on top of bad service experience. I will get out very soon thanks.

I thought the same thing to when i looked at my previous bills but i guess all i really do is check facebook and surf the web from time to time. i don't use much of youtube, and probably an hour or two of pandora a day.

HTC One X on ATT's network looks better! Plus its they have better coverage! (Pending on location.)

Lets go down the list of 2 devices...

Kickstand - I Hate the kickstand. Its annoying nor it is something that I would use. I know many people love this option and I am happy they enjoy it. But truth be told...A case can fix this issue. When I had my Evo 3D I was glad they gotten rid of the kickstand. But the ones who wanted it got the HTC case. So this is not a huge difference.

The look of the 2 devices. - Sorry but the ATT One X just looks better. White or gray. Sprint drop the ball here! But again...A case can fix this so its not a huge deal in the end.

MicroSD Card - This is what really sets them apart. Sprint did a good job here. The One X needs this option. So Sprint wins here without question.

As far as the service goes? This will only matter based on your location and your needs.

Data - Sprint offers unlimited and ATT will give you 3Gigs for the same price ($30/month). For me I rarely go over 2gigs a month. Even while streaming Netflix on my 3D. But the fact still stands...ATT offers a lot better 3G connection. In my current city I am getting 7Megs down. With Sprint I was only getting about 200K!

So in the end ATT won m over. I was a Sprint customer for a long long time. But I am also happy to report that I do not regret moving on! So thats my .02! Hope it helps. If you go with Sprint I hope they serve you will!

Another option that you have is to buy out your ATT contract and head on over to Prepaid and save even more!

I HATE white phones. Everything Apple produces that is white looks like a kids toy. Black looks 1000 times more professional. IMHO Of course. i:Di

In your area maybe. I've never dropped a call on my EVO via Sprint.

I probably drop on call a month! And I make a lot of calls. All depends on where you are.

Phones are pretty similar. I think it comes down to network.

I was in the same situation. My contract was up with AT&T and I was torn. Even though I like the design of the One X better, I decided to go with Sprint. I live in San Antonio and should have LTE soon. I was amazed when I was on AT&T how fast my data cap was reached on LTE! Not having to worry about that anymore is great.... I've had the new EVO for a few days, and I really like it! Also my monthly bill is about $20 less...

It boils down to what you personally value. I was with Sprint for 10+ yrs and never has any issues with drop calls and 3g until they got the iphone. Their 3g was so fast that I never needed to turn on 4g. Once they got the iphone, I had to always turn on 4g to do basic surfing.

Sprints monthly and excellent cust serv was great too. Kickstand, micro sd card and dedicated camera button arent that big of a deal too me. Never used my kickstand on the evo4g and the camera button to launch the camera was too slow. I also dont load my pda up like a mp3 or video player either.

OneX launches the camera and takes pics in under a sec. Its so fast that I take two pics bc it seems like I didnt take the first pic, its just that fast. This makes the camera button a mute point.

If I really wanted a kickstand, HTC makes this really nice OEM kickstand case for the OneX. Mutes the kickstand issue.

Got my monthly the same as sprint with a family plan and 24% corp discount. Mutes the monthly. Never went over a gig of data on sprint, so that mutes the data issue.

Sprint doesnt have LTE yet and at&t does. Their LtE is so fast it feels like your on a wifi network no matter where you go. Im blown away with how fast lte is. Plus I prefer the OneX design wayyy more.

Never thought I would switch, but I did and do not regret it. I do still stalk the sprint forums bc I had sprint for so long and never had issues until their 3g tanked and now no 4g. The EvoLte is such a nice phone to be limited to sprints current 3g. I know It would of frustrated me so much. Im glad I switched but will miss Sprint.

.
Now about the phone. Well i can honestly say there's not an equal on the market right now. So far (2 days) I have only one complaint and thats the menu button was removed...thats it.

Well then I am happy to inform you of this.

As for the thread, It all depends on the service and the amount of cash you feel like spending.
