ATT One X regarding LTE

So I have been going back and forth on buying the international x now or waiting for the att version on the 6th. I'm buying either with no contract and I will be using straight talk (att MVNO). My question is will the LTE radio kill battery for me since I will not be able to turn it off? I will not be on an att plan so no LTE for me. I have found a used gray international for 545 that would be delivered days before the att release. I could also buy from expansys at 609, or wait and buy at att or amazon for 549. I have went into the store twice now to go hands on and I can't quit thinking about it! I'm returning sprint nexus and deciding not to renew my contract. I actually purchased then canceled a purchase of the nexus hspa+ from google after discovering how bad the camera and camcorder were in low light. I wanted to record a live acoustic performance and the video and audio were horrific. I can confirm IMHO that the camera is better on the x but as far as low light video and audio I cannot find a review on that. Sorry for the rant but, what should I do? I love stock ICS and as soon as a stable rom came out for the x I would be all over it if I got that phone.

1. If you're not using LTE, why would it use battery? (Right?)
2. Low light ... Eh, it's not the greatest. Light is (and always will be) key. But it's also got a better margin for error than the GNex.

I have Both the AT&T ONE X and the International Version (Quad Core), the LTE Radio is going to drain the battery since there is no way to turn it off. as far as battery life they are both very close to 7.5hrs . The int version does get little warmer then the ATT dual core version. I like the int version better, it could be just I like the feeling i got a quadcore phone :D

and where I live there is no LTE , and honestly i dont need it.

I thought that it would constantly be trying to connect, like leaving my LTE on my sprint nexus even though there is no network. That's a bummer about the light and video. What about video audio in a louder setting?

Low light situations will always produce less than desirable results man. That's just how video and photography works though. Some devices can do it better, but it still won't be as good as with good light.

I totally agree but what I'm hoping for is iPhone quality on the video and audio in low light. I see a lot of live music and like to capture some. My nexus audio peaks so bad its impossible to watch while my girlfriends takes perfect video with no clipping on the audio in those situations. I need that to justify the 600+ I'd be paying. Otherwise its a Nexus from the play store and just deal with the inferior screen and laggy camera.
