ATT should refund/replace all Inspire...aweful

Had an Inspire before my Thunderbolt, don't let a POS phone ruin your experience of the entire OS.

Sent from my Skyraider Zeus'd Thunderbolt

I really should not have written this right after I had to reset my phone for the *5th* time that day, but my next phone will either be the Samsung Galaxy S III, or the next iPhone.

Edit:
Since I've rooted...my life has been a lot better!
But really, even before the Gingerbread update that allegedly crashed the phone (I'll admit my phone was a bit buggy, but that happens with all electronics, not just our phones), the Inspire was a great device! And now, I have no worries whatsoever! Love my phone more than I have ever loved my iPhone; and I truly loved my iPhone. After about a year though, it got boring... Really really boring. I have yet go even think of being bored with this phone. Go Android!

Requiring a Gmail acct is not unique to the Inspire or HTC devices, but is needed for any Android device for which you want access to the market.

I agree, it's lame, but you don't have to use Gmail or any other Google service on that acct if you don't want to. Other mobile platforms have a similar requirement.

I totally agree. Every time I hear this complaint, I shake my head. Do people think having to create a Gmail account (that you don't even have to use if you don't want to) is worse than having to create an iTunes account? At least my Gmail account doesn't require a program that seems to come out with updates weekly and is so glitchy that it wreaks havok on my computer.

The phone has been pretty good to me. I have been rooted for a long time and I love it. If you want to get rooted and want an awesome rom with good battery life look at MIUI roms.

Sense uses quite a bit of battery itself

I couldnt agree more about the inspire i have had mine for 2 months and I cant stand it now. when I first bought it, it was fine, continued that way til a couple weeks ago when it suddenly died like 15 times in a row, battery would get hotter than i dont know what.. programs and apps would load thereselves and turn off stuff that i had on. and now all i wanna do is root the thing so I have full control over it... i think they should give us some money back for this piece of junk lol...

How much did you pay for it in the first place, $49? $99? Most smartphones are $199 and up. I paid $49 for mine back in February, and I still think it was a great deal. If you think it's a piece of junk, you're not using it right (meaning "not rooted").:p

Even when my Inspire wasn't rooted it was still less restricted than an iPhone. I don't really care for sense but that's why I rooted my phone and yes custom roms will help your battery life. I'm very happy with my inspire.

I rooted within the first week of ownership and the at&t bloatware was the first thing to go. I then flashed a ClearDroid ROM and my battery can last 10-11 hours, depending on use. On a really busy day, I can get as low as 7-8 hours. However, with any smartphone you need to have a charger on hand. Even my iPhone buddies have chargers with them. I have one at home, a car charger, and one at the office.
Not having a charger handy is like leaving the house without your identification. Don't leave home without one.

I have a portable battery pack that will give me almost two full charges if I charge with the phone off.

That sounds great, can you give more information on the portable charger please? I'd like to research it.

Hmm idk about battery packs but I'm just unsure but yea I love my inspire. Had it since July battery life increased dromatically with cm7 ;)

I am Rooted and running ICS on my Inspire. Battery life is much better than stock. Sense is a big battery hog.:)
