Attaching video to email

On my Bionic I could take a video and send it through gmail real quick. I am running into issues with this on my moto x. I get that the video is too large because its HD but I don't see the option any where to lower the recording quality. Through texting I can tap attach-record video and which is a bit of a pain if I want to capture something as it happens then share it. Am I missing something when it comes to lower video quality or attaching a video to gmail? Thank you

I haven't used one in a while,I'll check my phone shortly to see if I still have it downloaded on my phone.
