Attempting root tomorrow

So if I'm not mistaking...flashing say the super fast kernal is the exact same process as flashing a theme? I go to rom manager and select. Recovery it takes me to clockwork. Then I do what I did to flash a theme.

When I'm done I just reboot...no clearing cache or anything?

U said to do some kinda nandroid backup..how do u do that?

What is the best kwrnal? Sounds like the super fast one. Is there a difference between jts tjaya in the rom manager And the one with the 2 numbers mentioned in this thread?

Sorry if I'm not clear, I'm typing this quickly on my phone in claas

The differences between the two stupidfast kernels are, ones low voltage and in test status. The other is standard voltage and stable status.

And yes it's pretty much the same as loading a rom or theme, you use cwm recovery and install it from your sd card. Just don't clear data/cache.

And a "nandroid" backup is a backup using rom manager...select backup current rom and name it w/e you want.

jt 11/11 currently installing... i dont know what to except when im done but im excited lol. do i download setCPU from market still?

You only need setCPU if you have an overclockable kernel which none of these are. Only certain Voodoo kernels are.

I only use it because I had Voodoo and I set my min speed to 200mhz. But you won't need it for non-Voodoo kernels, unless you had it before.

Sorry for the random post, but for some reason both Yaaic and AndChat don't like my phone so i can't get the newest jt1134 kernel via the irc channel. Are there any other ways to access irc.freenode.net #samsung-fascinate?

They both worked for me...are you familiar with IRC?

You can access on your computer, sorry if if im stating the obvious.

no i'm an IRC noob :( i tried to type in all the info in both and Yaaic kept FC'ing and AndChat wouldn't connect.
