Attention Future Thunderbolt Gurus!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting really excited about the upcoming release of the Thunderbolt. As with all HTC devices, one of the best things you can count on, is that there will be plenty of rooting, ROM'ing, and a strong community of users.

My goal is for this forum to be as awesome as possible to all members, regardless of skill level. That said, I would like to make you guys aware of two volunteer postions that are up for grabs in the Thunderbolt forums.

Advisers

One Adviser will be chosen for the following:

• Write and maintain informative FAQ's and/or tutorials in the main & subforums: Example
• Have a frequent presence in the forums.
• Are well respected by their peers for their ability & willingness to share knowledge, answer questions, and help solve technical issues.
• Provide thoughtful and constructive advice and commentary.

Benefits:

Designated members are provided access to a private forum, are awarded with additional reputation points, given an AC Adviser title, and a profile badge.

What Advisers are not:

Members who provide personal assistance and/or tech support via private, instant, or email based messaging. Regular members are strongly encouraged to post all technical questions in the forums, in order to benefit the community as a whole.

ROM Developers

We all LOVE ROM Dev's! If you have a history of developing ROM's, roots, or theme's, we would be greatly honored if you choose the AC forums for posting your work. ROM devs will also have access to a private forum, be featured in the blog, invited to the AC podcast, have custom badges, and will have acces to a Donate button.

We are committed to making this a friendly, respected, and compelling forum for Advisers and ROM Devs alike, and will be adding additional benefits in the future.

I am so new to this...I could not possibly be of benefit. But I have to tell you that I am adicted to this forum. Everyone is friendly, helpful and occasionally very funny! My wife does not understand why I am so excited about our new phones and this e-community. If others step up who know what they are doing...I for one would be grateful. I would like to be an adviser. It would really help to get to know everyone, and to do my best to help others.

And it would be a great experience to share my knowledge and learn alot more, the best way to learn is to experience things firsthand.

Though I haven't been a member for very long I know all the great people of android central, could help make me a great advisor.

And I'm very enthusiastic about the thunderbolt, htc, and android. And cheers to Corey for this opportunity.

Its seems your guessing the same as me. Some one of this position should have one of their own, as well as prior android knowledge, perferable HTC phones polly?

Thanks again to those of you who PM'd me and expressed interest in the TB Adviser position. I promised everyone that I'd make an announcement by the end of today. The reason it took me so long is due to the fact that it was such a tough decision! Each and every one of you were equally enthusiastic in volunteering, and I'm certain you would all be great.

That said, I had to narrow it down to one person though; so I'd like to welcome SUB-dawg as a dedicated Adviser in the TB forums. He's been studying up on this bad boy since the day the rumored pics went up, and every day since. He has already created a great spreadsheet comparing the different 4G offerings being launched by the Big Red. I'm looking forward to his regular presence in the forums and for some of the FAQ's he'll be developing in the coming weeks.

Finally, this was NOT a contest. Nobody lost tonight; in fact we all benefited. There will be PLENTY of other opportunities for others to help out and I will keep you in mind as those opportunities present themselves.
