Audio Equalizer separate channel adjustments

Is there any limitation that prevents an equalizer from adjusting the channels separately? I want to compensate for some hearing loss in one ear.

Software only probably. All Samsungs I know of (even midrangers) can do it it since 2012.

You go to settings>sounds and effects>adaptive sound. It will adjust the baseline audio setting for either ear. So it will compensate for hearing loss or sensitivity for either ear, and yet still be able to adjust the music equalizer separately.

Although this is a Samsung only feature.
