Audio Issue w/ Beats

A weird one...

Totally out of left field, my phone stopped recognizing my wired Beats Tour's. At first, I thought it was the jack however, when I was able to find another jack, I discovered my phone recognized that. Then I thought it was the headphones, however when they are plugged into my computer, there is no problem with output.

Any suggestions out there? I'm hoping this isn't an issue that only a replacement can solve. Any insight will be greatly appreciated!

More troubleshooting: I plugged the headset into a friends iPhone and they worked fine, however the mic seemed not to work. Is it possible that android can notice a problem with the mic and disable the entire headset? If so, any work arounds?

If you plug it into a computer and try to use it as a mic then what happens? I doubt that it's a hardware problem but that should help rule it out.
