I noticed when playing back a recorded video, the audio sounds like there's a lot of static. I tried a few tests in a quiet room and it's very noticeable. I tried the same test with a Galaxy S3 and it was less noticeable. When testing with the Voice Recorder app. Everything sounds the way it should. Nice, clear and no static noise in the background. Is there a way to help improve the microphone when taking video??? Is it that the speakers on the GS5 our louder so audio during playback mode is more noticeable?

It may have to do more with the mic for the video camera (which is different than the phone mic). Try calling someone with speakerphone, and ask them if it sounds staticky (since I think the speakerphone uses the video camera mic, not the phone mic).
