The FPS is the concern. Most of the glass protectors don't work.

This is why I'm very hesitant on buying the Note 20. The ultrasonic fps is very finicky under good conditions and just bad under sub optimal conditions. I wish Samsung would ditch the ultrasonic fps and move to the optical fps like OnePlus.

Thanks for your well wish... but I spent the last month at home with symptoms (one was losing 20 pounds in a little over 2 weeks) even though I took a test two weeks in a row and each time showed negative. Back to about 92%. Crazy experience I hope people will be able to avoid and everyone here stay safe, be healthy to enjoy new phones I think I should be bulletproof now to make a trip to BB and check out the Note. Still gonna carry a ton of wipes with my mask.

No, I have a Note 8 so I still have the FPS in back. Yeah using in under glass FPS will be test when I get the new phone.

Absolutely. Finding the right screen protector is key. You said you bought one from Spigen? Are you using a phone with an in-display fingerprint sensor and if so, does it still work with the screen protector being applied?

Getting Black, no sense for me to get the other colors as i always put a case on it , and will get a Dome Glass screen protector, Dome works great on my Note10 Plus since first got it on August no issues at all Dome is been always great on all my other phones.

I case up too, but always clear. I haven't done a screen protector in a few years now. I thought about the done, but was scared to screw it up and waste money.

My Note 8 has been the most slippery phone I have ever owned when I take out of case. I really loving the look of White and would love to rock that naked at times... but I expect it to be as slippery.

Well I think I'm going white and I'm going naked...
I haven't needed a screen protector for my Note 10 plus so can't see why I would need it for the 20 with the even better gorilla glass.
Size size I think it will be difficult even with slim cases and that white or maybe bronze would be a shame to cover.

Honestly, I feel it was two false negatives. I know it sounds odd but when you go through the testing procedure it may not sound as unlikely. One was at CVS and it was self administered and I did my best to really jam that swap up my nose and swirl it... both sides. But second test was county run and they were the ones to jam the swap and take sample. But both tests the first two weeks of July took almost a week to get result.

Crazy situation but I think I had it... had enough of the symptoms.. chills, muscle ache, lost 20 pounds, etc... even lost taste in food... that was the worst when a T-Bone steak doesn't taste like a steak... or whatever your favorite food is... makes life miserable. But feeling back to normal.

I'll take a Antibody test next month to make sure.

...... apparently Corning has been able to improve BOTH the scratch and shatter resistances. In the past we were y told they were almost inversely proportional.

In general, most materials are. For example, work hardening a metal will provide greater strength but will become more brittle. But if you change the alloy content and/or crystal lattice structure of the base material, you can shift the properties. Glass has some similar properties (as do most materials), but due to the inherent properties of glass, work hardening is not likely an option. It's likely a combination of chemical composition and heat treatments. It's possible their patents might provide some insight.

Can always wait and import a Note20 Ultra SD , but that has its own headaches.

Being that it's more secure, I doubt Samsung will ditch the on screen ultrasonic fps for an optical one. It was one of their selling points at one time. I use mine with the Whitestone Dome and I've learned to be content with the fps performance. lol
