Can't say it's an attractive device.

I still really like it. I wish there were less hump and more battery, but it looks good . It's reminiscent of the iPhone 5/5s design.

agreed but doesn't bother me one bit and certainly won't discourage me from getting it. won't be as noticeable on the black version and a case will cover it up anyway.

no branding up front, a clean, minimal design is what I'm looking for. plus if that 3450 mAh rumor is true and the camera is on par with the Pure, that's really all I can ask for.

much more concerned with the performance and software. can't be bothered with rear aesthetics, something I'll only notice when I take my case of to clean it or just to let it breath around the house. can't wait to see the black version in the flesh, and find out which USB-C is used, and of course, if that battery rumor is accurate.

I love Android Police.

A lot of people are complaining about the bezel, but the screen-to-body ratio is rumored to be 71.7% (same as Galaxy S6 Edge)..

I'll take a slightly larger bezel in exchange for front speakers. and vertical size doesn't affect comfort much. I'd take issue with a wider phone, but this is fine.

One thing that will be in important to me is that it will use or not the same display panel as the Mate S.

I like AMOLED but this one seems to come from the darkest year of the AMOLED history : visible pentile matrix, low brightness, high reflectivity, poor color reproduction, ...
I hope it will be an IPS-neo in the 6P or an AMOLED panel that is at least on par with the one in the Note 4.

I will be severely disappointed if it turns out the the 5X will only have 2GB RAM.

2GB RAM isn't that bad with stock Android. Nexus 5 can multitask like a champ, beating both the S6 and G4! I'm not scared of 2GB RAM which is why I've ordered a Z5 Compact.

Nexus 5X: 154 x 76 x 10 mm (Amazon India)

154 mm is just way too tall for the 5X. The bezels would be gigantic.

That's way too big, bigger than a Note 5. Surely those can't be the right dimensions for the 5x. Has to be the 6p. Or just complete BS.

Ah, but the 5X isn't designed to be a high end phone. It's designed to be affordable, like the original Nexus 5 (and 4).

It's probably the 6P dimensions. I bet they've got it mixed up.

OK, I give up. It's probably just nonsense then. Wouldn't be the first time that Amazon gets the product dimensions and weight completely wrong. Actually it happens very often.

Oh, and leak for the dimensions.

I still think the RAM will be 3GB and that Onleaks was correct about the dimensions.

My original Moto X runs smooth as silk still after almost two full years and it only has two gigabytes of RAM and what was considered a underpowered processor. This 5X is meant to be a mid-range affordable Nexus. I am sure this phone will run just as well as intended with the specs that it has. Not everyone needs the highest and specs in their smartphone and I for one am glad that Google is making a smaller affordable Nexus along with a high end one with a larger screen. I prefer the smaller form factor and more affordable price. I don't need the highest and specs in my phone anymore. Having this original Moto X has showed me that if the software is optimized for the hardware, you just don't need those bleeding-edge specs anymore to get a great experience with stock Android.

Very true. Nexus 5 can multitask just fine on 2GB RAM. I'm getting a Sony Z5C. No worries about the 'mere' 2GB RAM. 5.1.1 fixed the memory issues in Lollipop. Marshmallow will optimise RAM further. No need to worry.
