Auto Answer on my S3.....Please help?

Ok give this a try .go to your phone pad at the bottom of you phone were the return button is there is a menu tap it go to call setting open it then to accessory sittings tap the automatic answering to remove the check by it. That should take care of your problems.

I went through this post trying to find the answer, but to every solution I came across a problem:

Voice CMD is no where to be found in the S-Voice App.
In phone call setting there is no options and the voice command. The closest thing I can find is Voice control under "answer/ending calls"
but that is unchecked.
There is no Control Apps or Application control setting in my S-Voice
There is no voice control settings in S-Voice; it is in call settings and is UNchecked.
Automatic Answering is turned off

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated as my phone still automatically picks up every call.

The very first thing I did with the phone was a factory reset (I got it used). I'll try booting it up in safe mode, thanks.

Starting it in safe mode did nothing, I have just put the reject all calls option on in the mean time.

Bummer; I didn't realize that you had already done a Factory Reset or I wouldn't have suggested Safe mode.
What version of firmware are you running?
Has it done this from the beginning?

The firmware I'm on right now is: KOT49H.I747MVLUFNF2
Android Version 4.4.2
Model Number: SGH-I1747M

The second I got this phone it started doing it.

Thanks for your input so far, it's much appreciated.

I can't imagine S Voice causing this problem, but you can disable that and see if the problem persists.

Does your carrier use Wi-Fi calling?

Dang - I'm out of ideas. After you did the Factory Reset you didn't fiddle with any settings or install any apps and the phone immediately had this problem?
Have you contacted the carrier to have them look at your account to see if there's any weirdness?
What about a new SIM card?

I attempted a factory reset again and didn't download any apps and it still has the same problem. I do plan on going to Telus tomorrow to ask them, the sim card i'm using is new but maybe defective?

Thanks for the continued help.

Please keep us posted on your progress (if any) - this one's sure to be a doozy.

I had the same problem, and how I fixed it was by changing the Mobile Networks option. Changed it from LTE/CDMA to just CDMA after it rebooted it no longer auto answers.

I had the same issue with my Samsung S5 when Bluetooth-connected to a VTech cordless phone system; S5 would automatically answer incoming calls. Solution was to go to Settings->Call->Call accessories and uncheck Automatic answering (when connected to headset).

For whatever reason the S5 is treating the VTech phone system as a headset. Same may apply for S3 and S4 and other Bluetooth capable phone systems.

Ok, so I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum or not but I absolutely do want my phone to answer with my voice command to reject or accept calls and I'm 100% sure all my call settings are now and have always been set to do just that. And it has worked fine for over a year until yesterday it started answering with no command from me, though it does attempt its spiel asking me would I like to reject or accept, but before it finishes asking through the reject word, it simply answers automatically on its own, without allowing me to answer with a accept or reject retort. So, all my calls are answered now before the s voice finishes putting out the question for me to even respond to. Do you think a factory reset is still what I would need to fix this new problem? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have a droid mini. clicked the phone settings and there is box to uncheck that gives you auto answer times of 2, 5, and 10 seconds, or off. Check off and you should be good to go.

Wow.. not much help on this board I see. I've only had my Android for a couple of days and I'm lost most of the time using it.. I ask questions but no one seems to want to help. Having vented.. I did find--Settings--Call--scroll down to Auto Answer--- turn this feature off. :)

I had this problem, tried everything on here... Until ...

I've stated that my profile were on driving.... go figure.... all resolved !

Sometimes the most silly things are the most correct !

Hope i help someone

Thank you very much. It works. I was worried for a moment that I could not set it up for auto answer while driving.
