So there is something funky with the auto brightness after marshmallow update. It used to work perfectly. Now it doesn't react all the time almost like it gets stuck. it goes way too dim in low light and doesn't go to its max brightness in sunlight. Turning it off it then goes brighter wtf. It worked perfectly in lollipop.

Also another weird thing it will do is it will get into a mode where it will dim / brighten almost like flicker in sunlight if the phone is tilted slightly away from the sun then towards it.

I've tried fresh install, wipe, factory reset, cache partition clear. I've tried all the usual suspects. It's not an isolated problem as I've read numerous things about it but nothing with an answer. Let's get to the bottom of this!

Sounds to me like it's sadly a bug that you will have to wait for google to fix.... Best contact them and let them know about the problem(even though they probably know already) and wait for a new update....?

Why can't they ever *update* things without breaking **** at the same time!

What? My auto brightness seems to work better at 6.0.1 than at 5.1.1.

Yes...Auto brightness since Marshmallow just doesn't work right. I'm wondering too what the vertical line is in the middle of the brightness bar.
I click on auto brightness box and the slider moves back significantly and the picture gets darker. That never used to happen. Seems to be quite screwed up.
