Auto Delete Text messages after I've read them

I am running a Pixel 4 and for work I need to sign into a service multiple times a day, in which they text me authentication codes every time, sometimes I get sent 30-40 codes a day I can only use once. While it's not a huge deal to just delete the thread at the end of the day it would sure be nice if they would just disappear after the are read. If not does anyone know how to add a delete function to the preview so I can just delete it right away without having to go into messages app?

Phones are not that smart to be able to tell if you have read the message so I doubt this is do-able.

You can do it with emails....in the email settings I changed the option from archive or reply to delete or reply in the notification shade. Very handy for junk mail. I'm not sure if that's an option for texts or not though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
