Auto Rotate not working?

hey first android device and first post in the android central forums, switched from a pre plus (precentral was great),

i have an att inspire 4g, and sometimes auto rotate will just not work. I am using a live wallpaper, but its the stock google nexus live wallpaper. any idea what else it could be thats causing this?

I've seen some people state that it's caused by certain applications that work only in landcape mode causing that function to lockup until the phone is restarted. The most common culprit is the racing game that ATT puts on the Inspire as a stock app (can't remember what the name of it is).

its called asphalt 5, and ive never even opened it, let alone use any other app that requires landscape only

Sometimes the accelerometer gets stuck. A restart should clear it up. If it continues to happen frequently, try changing your wallpaper. Seems like live wallpapers cause problems a lot. Or it may be bad hardware and you should get a new unit.

suckss, i loved the nexus live wallpaper. i changed it to the regular htc paper and if it happens again im taking it back to bestbuy
