I have the Mate 9 for three days as my primary driver now. It's a great and beautiful phone. However, while having automatically screen brightness on; I noticed some app dims the display. Chrome is one of them, some other apps didn't do it. It didn't exhibit the issue when auto brightness is disabled. Does anybody notice it on yours? Is it the application settings? It was dim enough to notice that it dimmed the display.

Yes. And it is apps doing so. If I point the phone at my face can stop it. It seems.

Yellowish tint perhaps.

I have eye comfort enabled also which is easier on eyes, less strain (aging).

Yep, I have noticed this, it only happens with web browsers on auto brightness, probably a battery saving thing😕
