Auto Updating of Apps and Telephone Announce

I do not think I changed any settings. About 6 weeks ago the apps started updating on their own, where before I got a notice that they could be updated. 1-did this change on its own somehow and 2 - how do I stop this (I think I saw that its not a simple matter)

All of a sudden last week my phone voice annonces calls. I did not change this. I do not see in setting how this can be turned on/off. Can you tell me where this is?

I don't know about the phone part, but you can go into Play, hit menu, and choose settings, and change the auto update apps.

I think the voice announce has to do with an automotic update to Robin. Even tho I have male voice selected, the female Robin voice announces phone calls and texts. I went to Robin/setting and turned off the Voice Caller ID, but left the Always-m SMS alerts.

ROBIN? What is that and where do I find her? I've had this phone since day one (preorder) and don't know about the voice announce. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
