Autofocus issues

I don't remember exactly when this started but lately I have noticed that my autofocus does not work too good. I will hold down the button and for a half second it will have good focus and then it over shoots it and locks into a blurry image. I've cleaned the lenses, went back to factory, and tried many apps and all to the same result. Is there any fix for this?

I do I even use motion tools (they show when the phone is steady and then take the shot) and the results are still the same. I have tries this on all sorts of close up shots and it is all the same

You'll find that on weekends, not a lot of folks on the forums. 42 views, are really not a lot. People don't answer because probably they don't have a good answer.

Considering the cameras are software driven, I would suspect that too many apps are running, or there is an app that interferes with the camera action. This would result in the "lag" time. I can't tell you exactly what app, but it's my gut instinct. I would start by removing some of the apps you installed recently when the problem happened. Or killing some of them till the problem gets better.

Also, it would be good to know, what device you have. Rooted? Rommed?

I suspected some of these issues so I did a factory reset and used stock camera app and still same error
