Automatic HiFi activation?

Is there some reason the Quad DAC does not activate automatically when I plug in either my B&O's or my Bose QC25's? (Or any other headset, for that matter.)

Obviously, I can activate it manually through the quick menus, but I unplug and replug my headphones a LOT during the day, and it's awful annoying to have to do this every time. And, frankly even more terribly annoying to find, after an hour under the cans, to realize I forgot to do it.

There was a huge amount of ballyhoo over this phone's "incredible audio", and the HiFi Quad DAC. Admittedly it does improve the overall quality of the analog rendering, though at my auditory age, the improvement is less dramatic than it might be for some of my early-twenties brethren.

My question is, if this is a major selling point for the platform, why do I have to go through so much BS to access it? Why is the default action not to enable the system upon wired headphone connection? This is especially frustrating given the phones I use with the phone most often are the B&O's that LG themselves provided.

Or, is it like so many things, and perhaps I just missed some instructions and a setting somewhere?

Thanks!

That's odd. Mine is the opposite .... activated every time I plug in and I would have to turn it off manually. I think I only turned it on the first time I used it milk

Ive only had to turn it on the first time, and now its automatic no matter how many times I plug it in. That is for all of my headphones ive used.

The only time mine wouldn't activate automatically is if my Bluetooth headset was connected at the same time (despite being set to calls only, not media).
