automatically resetting?

Has anyone had issues to where your phone is automatically resetting some things but not everything? My husband woke up to all his system settings ( notifications, sounds, etc) being back to factory. All saved wifi passwords are erased, As well as all contacts (Google) and pictures gone as well as email (not gmail) being reset. Also Silly things like lock screen wallpaper being reset to factory one (not home screen picture is still fine). Looks like parts of the phone were reset were other parts are the same. He's factory reset his phone 2x for issues since he purchased the phone in June.
