Automating LG Backup

So, I fell victim to the notorious boot loop and had to have my phone fixed under warranty. Getting it back tomorrow and want to setup an automated back up to the SD card.

I can't seem to figure out how to have it back up to the SD card OR how to schedule a backup. I know this used to be possible back on my G2 because I did both of those. Is that no longer possible with the latest LG Backup tools?

I looked through LG Backup on my V10 (should be same version as G4) and don't see the automated backup option either. I know it was there on the G3. Not sure why they got rid of it (unless I just can't find it).

The best you can do with an unrooted phone is put a reminder in your calendar :-[ You CAN automate backup of SMS/MMS with SMS Backup & Restore or similar apps. I use it to backup my sms and call logs nightly. Other than that keep your data on the sd card.

If the phone was rooted Titanium backup can run on a schedule.

iirc that was to the LG Cloud? Agreed, it's a shame it can't be automated.
