Available late July according to Motorola

I am in for 249 - loss leader to draw new customers like myself away from vzw and att with last year's high end devices and annoyingly high bills.

Isn't keeping Triumph stock 2.2 without Motoblur a way to make the price a bit cheaper? However Virgin is definitely trying to appeal to the public with its low plans and an actually nice phone... So they know people will pay for it, because of the way people flung to the Optimus (like myself). I do wonder if they are thinking about how their network got congested and outages happened when everybody jumped on the Optimus bandwagon, as the rumor goes. With a phone like this, it may be twice as worse.

I do wish it had Motoblur.... Pure Vanilla seems so bland to me on my Optimus. I'm jealous of people with Sense.

Pure Android is so much better sense blur and touchwiz all have lag and take up lots of precious space on devices.

I understand that. To each his own?

But Virgin not letting them put Motoblur may be a way to make the introductory price lower, if they even have one. I could see them having one, just to reel in more customers, but without one they will still get plenty of business with this phone.

What are the chances we can load custom roms no this? Any chance we might be able to upgrade this bad boy to Gingerbread goodness?

I can't wait to pair the Triumph up with a wiimote & HDTV. Interested to see how well this phone can handle emulators & HD movies.

This phone will be 300 or more, the V was priced right for it's hardware, the truimph looks hardware wise much much better,so pricing any less then 300 would be a loss.

Not familiar with the non-big box carriers. Any chance we can tether off the Triumph?
Even if Virgin blocks the Hotspot/Tethering feature, there's so many 3rd party apps that can allow it, or custom ROMs. So yes, most likely one way or another you'll be able to tether.

screw vzw, I'll gladly jump ship for this phone it's right on par with any of their 3g devices and it won't cost me any limbs...

My only concern is coverage, their website shows great coverage in my area for voice and data but I don't know anyone who has this service. Anyone gone from VZW to VM? Can you offer a comparison?

I came from VZW, been all over VA for the most part with Optimus V, thru parts of NC and SC,
dropped only in places VZW used to drop for me also.
I haven't had any 3G problems like some peeps seem to have.
Loving VM so far, been 5+ months.

My experiences are the same as Skratte. I also am in Virginia and have traveled all over VA, parts of NC, WV and Ohio with my VM OV and only loose connection in the most remote areas. Similar to VZW. I highly recommend VM to everyone I talk to in my area.

Although I have heard people complain about coverage so YMMV.

Awesome. I had originally heard it was going to be "late July."

I just got my OV a few weeks ago (after I got one for my wife when it first released) and I was instantly addicted. I plan on returning it next week (within the 30 days) and waiting for the Triumph to come out. The sooner it comes the better since I believe the time without an Android will not be pleasant. ;)

Pretty legit. Virgin doesn't make you pay extra for tethering do they? Haven't seen any pricing for those features.
