Awesome Costco deal!!

I have a buyer for my Storm 2 and they want it ASAP, so I will preorder and buy the other items...I'd order them now if I knew a place...I want a blue case like CaseMate Barley There makes if you find anything!

On another note: Obviously when buying a phone in store you have to pay the tax for your particular state. I wonder if it is possible for some to avoid the tax by ordering online from certain sellers. In my case that's about $20 for the phone alone.

I saw that if true I'm on it
If this is true, I am SO doing this! Standard dock to replace my OG Droid on my headboard that turns the phone into my alarm clock, car dock to replace my OG Droid car dock that broke, spare battery...then I buy the multimedia dock separately for work so I can stream Pandora thru my office stereo without violating my Co's IT policies! Now...if I can just rig up a KVM switch so I can mirror my bionic onto my work monitor, and use my mouse and keyboard to bypass my Co's firewall block on youtube! YEA!.

Does anybody have concerns about losing unlimited data by buying through Costco? I'm assuming you need to sign a new agreement to get this price, which would mean tiered data correct?

I know some stores, like Best Buy, will match prices and such. Will they go so far as to mach a bundle-type deal? I think this warrants a call to Best Buy Mobile!

Or...just hook up your phone via USB and use it as a USB modem for the internet. You may need an app that Verizon won't like for that though lol.

He would have to be there w/his membership. You either pay cash. I think if you were to use a check you would need to have him do it. Not sure about using an AmEx or Debit though.

That deal looks really tempting.. oof.. preorder and get it earlier or go Costco and get free stuff...

I know that's my dilemma too... maybe Verizon will have some deals of some sort too?

Wow.... You are a sick vile person.... You are going to SELL your S2?! At least you can get a wish along with the curse if you sell your soul to the devil. Lmao.

I gave mine away to a friend and they absolutely hate it. Being my best friends cousin, I gave it to him to lock in unlimited data and he appreciates it, but it still sucks. I feel bad for him. Lol. But on the plus side, he is buying my DROIDX once I get a new phone.

And on topic, I am getting mine at costco for this deal. I was under the impression that I was getting my $50 NE2 but I was corrected and told I won't get it until November. Therefore the savings add up. I just hope otterbox makes a nice slimmer case for it. The defender/commuter(the hard plastic and silicone case sans holster one) added way too much bulk. I love the case my best friend has for his sammy gs.

I don't know if I want to buy this here at Costco or not...I might end up having to, if I don't get the NE2, since it's my parent's account. I don't think I'll REALLY use the docks as much, I want to get an inductive charging pad and use inductive instead of the dock, and the car dock will probably not fit in my already cluttered '68 Beetle. The extra battery is tempting though.

I hope the dock will work if one were to also have the inductive charging back cover on the phone. I know with the OG Droid Doc if you had any sort of case it wouldn't fit right, but the case doesn't add bulk around the edges, just on the back. I too intend on getting it but i want that for work. I want the Dock for my nightstand so i have a stand-up clock/alarm. Right now I have to reach down in between the bed/nightstand, grab the cable, plug it into my OG Droid, and it just lays there.

Any one know what the difference is between a "standard" dock and the HD Dock?? The Costco ad refers to it as a "standard" dock but in looking at accessories available for the Droid 3, the only non-car dock they list for it is a "HD Dock", which would be the same as the one leaked by Amazon a couple months ago that showed an HDMI output and like 3 USB ports and all that. Guessing they'll be offering a couple of desktop dock options for the Bionic if that's the case. Would be nice though if the dock included with this Costco deal was the same as that one that was leaked with all of those inputs though....

I think the HD dock has an hdmi output and probably comes with an hdmi cable. You could for example have the dock connected to a hdtv, sit your phone in it have it mirror to the tv. Would be good for watching netflix or videos in 1080p. The standard dock probably only has usb for charging and maybe an audio jack to hook up to whatever audio equipment.

Thats kinda one of the things I intended on doing with the Lapdock, review it and post back after a few hours of use.

Quoting myself here, lol. BTW i just built myself a few VM's at home running XenApp so I can publish a desktop to a VM so when I get the lapdock i'll be able to use the Citrix Receiver it apparently has to connect to my published Citrix Desktop and get a full Windows OS :) I'm sooooo ready to have the Bionic now lol

I bet Costco will also have the phone available by itself for $200 or $250, but Moto will not let them advertise at a price below $299. This is Costco's way of showing buyers they have a better deal without breaking Moto's minimum advertised price.

Have they done that in the past?

Completely agree lol. BUT, I was reading that the Webtop had native citrix receiver capabilities so i figured may as well use it. If it had a native Remote Desktop client, i'd ditch citrix in a heartbeat but it does have its place. to run citrix I have to have the Citrix Web Interface, Citrix Licensing Server, and Presentation Server so i built 2 VM's (one with WI and CL) and one with PS which is where i actually get logged onto the desktop. With remote desktop, i could avoid all that and just RDP straight to my desktop :(

Due to this development I will forgo the early order process from Verizon and wait to purchase from Costco....

Agh don't let them tell me that or I'll just be a cheapass and not get the full bundle ahaha.
