That's a good question...I'm gonna stop by my Costco this afternoon and find out the skinny. Gonna ask a bunch of these questions, but I'd imagine they would lie through there teeth to get you to come in tomorrow. i guess the best thing to do is read the receipt very carefully? right after purchase? What's the guarantee that you can get things back the way they were though...also, in another thread someone said there is a $20 credit as well. We'll see!

When I stopped in to Costco today I asked that very same question and was reassured that data and all other plan options will remain AS IS, so grandfathered unlimited data will be retained even upgrading through Costco. WINNING!! lol
hmm, I'm not a Costco member so I need to get a membership. I already have a BJs membership, so I doubt I'd need both. Ethical issues aside, can anyone confirm that you can "return" the Costco membership? I don't think I want to wait around and return this phone for the Prime or whatever the next phone coming out is.
I noticed the I Phone 4, 32 GB is still showing on Verizon for $299.99 for a 3G phone. Why is the Bionic over priced with 4G for $299? New to smartphones and thinking about buying the Bionic for my wife and wondering if I'm missing something.
I just got back from the Costco in Fort Myers,FL and was told that they will have 6 units tomorrow, but they will be available around 11:00 or 12:00 pm. The guy I spoke to also confirmed the incredible bundle deal. He also said that they had 9 more on order.
Unfortunately I won't be able to get mine from them because they don't do the yearly upgrade (early upgrade). I wonder why they can't do it but BJ's can. He said he stopped doing it a month and a half ago.

That is why i bought my X on a 1 yr contract last year. I paid more then, but knew that 4g would be out now and i've got a screenshot that shows my upgrade date as of 7/21. I can also show them the same on my phone if they baulk at my screenshot from the web.

also just got off the phone with a vzw sales rep and she said i would be able to pre order the phone but since i called so late the phone would not be here tomorrow and she was also able to confirm to me that the phone will be available at at their website at 12:00 AM.
Another point we touch base on was Costco since i was trying to get her to get me a discount, but sadly she said that all i could get was a measly $30 discount and that they do not match other competitors bundle deals or promotions.

I spoke w/ a person at the phone kiosk at BJs last week and he explained to me that Costco is a third party seller for Verizon and the kiosks in BJs are actually Verizon Wireless stores...so same as walking in a stand alone VW store.
The iPhone is still that price because there are people that are willing to pay extra for the name. Most of us expected a powerhouse like the Bionic to be in Verizon's upper price range. It's like the commercials say "If you don't have an iPhone, well, you don't have an iPhone." And thank the gods for that lol. The iPhone is what's overpriced here, because they can get away with it as long as there are still people salivating for the i-whatever, just because there's an i in front of it.
wow, thanks for this piece of info. I was all ready to get my phone tomorrow morning. I just called my local Costco to confirm, and if you want to get the phone with an early upgrade, you CANNOT do it at Costco.

If anyone is planning on going to the Costco in Brick Nj don't waste your time because they won't have it until the 13th! I had the wife stop in and ask just to double check. I'm so pissed right now!
A rep at the Costco near me gave me a number I can call her at tomorrow morning and she is going to set a bundle aside for me when they open at 10!
Do you only get the deal with a new contract.. Or can you be in contract?

just went to two costco's in SJ , CA . was told they have no idea or the 13th. but im smarter than that and called in while standing in the store. was told that the plan is tomorrow but not sure another said that they would have recieved a shipment by now if it was tomorrow and another took down my name and said they would give me a call tomorrow morning if they had it at 10 am . smh
