Awesome Costco deal!!

The bundle I got from Costco was the two dock + battery/battery cradle bundle. It also had a useless belt phone case.

One thing I heard from the Costco reps was that Motorola was running out of batteries so the next shipments won't come with the battery yet, but a raincheck for a battery.

Lol if it comes with it...I might use it. Idk, I probably wouldn't carry around my phone on my belt unless I wanted to be a big showoff or something :p. But I'm very interested to see if I'll be able to hook up the car dock to my car lol
 
I went to Costco to get the bundle deal, but I was not able to get it. I thought I was eligible for an upgrade (I had checked on VZ website and it said I was), but appparently there are different kinds of upgrades. In my case, it is an early upgrade and so it has to be from Verizon directly. I checked with Amazonwireless and had the same result. Off to the Verizon store in the morning...
 
Quick question regarding returns within the 14 days at costco. Maybe this is more of a question regarding VZW, rather than costco. I bought the bundle last weekend, but I'm on the fence about whether I want to keep the phone. Overall I think the phone has a lot of great aspects, but the screen is just bugging me. Not that its bad, but im a bit sensitive to the differences between the coloration when I use my other devices. I can't help but feel a little let down.

If I return within the 14 days, what is costcos general process? Do you just return it like any other item or do you go directly to the VZW booth in the store? Also, I assume my contract will be cancelled and I will be back to month to month, eligible for a 2 year contract price? Does everything about my old service stay the same? unlimited data, etc?

Don't mean to derail the thread, but it is costco related.

You will need to bring all of the items you got with the phone, take it to the entrance and tell them you're returning a phone.

The greeter will send you to the Wireless Advocated Kiosk where they check in the phone.

Then you will go to the return counter and they will refund your money.

I am unsure about returning your account details. I believe they can get everything fixed.

After you get your money back just go back to the kiosk and they will call Verizon. I did this with the Charge. I called Verizon about 10 min after I left costco to confirm everything was cancelled and I was good to go.

Ok, good to know. Did they have any issues setting you back to your old plan/data? Im worried about losing my unlimited data or something like that. Also, do they charge a restocking fee?
 
Does anyone happen to know when this deal ends? I've been to Costco twice and they have not had the bionic in stock. I then called the store yesterday and they said they were out of stock AND the accessory package deal would end yesterday.
 
This deal ending shouldn't be too big of a deal, the phone can be bought cheaper elsewhere now, and you can pick out what (if any) accessories you want.

Thanks but deals like the one you posted and those at letstalk.com and wirefly.com require me to select plan options that would cost me more money every month and/or lose my unlimited data package. If don't buy a plan from them then the phone is actually cheaper at Verizon with a cost of $250 to me.

If Costco still has this deal going on I would like to know when it ends since $280 with all of those accessories is a fabulous price.
 
When exchanging the phone using the 90 day return policy, do they inspect for cosmetic blemishes before accepting the exchange?

I think the guy at the booth told me it's 14day to return because of the contract or 90 to replac it with not the same phone? Does this sound right?
 
Yeah, I want to replace it with the Galaxy Nexus when it comes out. I just noticed 2 small scratches on the side of the phone, so I was wondering if they'd reject it based on that.

14 day to return and reverse 2 year contract. After 14 days, your contract is locked and you are no longer eligible for the 2 year upgrade price. You can still exchange your phone for the same phone within 90 days or return it, but your contract is already locked in.
 
I was planning on the same thing but it's not worth returning after 14days, everyone her was making it seem like within 90 days you could just walk into a Costco and swap for a nexus. instead you will have to return all the bundled accessories and get $279 towards a full retail nexus that will be $550+ at that loss I'd rather just wait for the update next month and hope it fixes the data issues, then comes ics.
 
To be 100% clear -

Costco's policy is to allow you 90 days to return or exchange the phone. Period. Not just for the same model.

After 14 days, you will be tied to the plan you signed up for, but not the phone.

Wireless Associates (the ones that run the kiosks in Costco), will try and tell you that the phone can only be exchanged for the same model. This is false. The reason they do this is because they are penalized for returns, and an exchange for a different model counts as that.

One call to WA's central help line will put the WA associate back in their place regarding what the official policy is through WA and Costco corporate. The number is 1-888-369-5931. The manager who helped me when I exchanged the Charge for the Bionic (after about 80 days) is named Linda.

After about a 2 minute phone call with Linda, and her talking to the WA guy for about a minute, my exchange of the Charge for the Bionic was in progress. :)

And Meth - No. I did not have to pay full retail price on the Bionic. It was kept at the same "new subscriber" price.
 
He would have to be there w/his membership. You either pay cash. I think if you were to use a check you would need to have him do it. Not sure about using an AmEx or Debit though.

That deal looks really tempting.. oof.. preorder and get it earlier or go Costco and get free stuff...


CostCo doesn't take debit cards. Cash, check or AmEx only
 
Does Costco have different policy's depending on where you are? There is so much conflicting info in this thread. My Costco DOES take Debit Cards, I use 2 different ones.
