I refuse to pay monthly for those premium services. If it was just a one-time charge, then I'd consider it. But at least its free until july 15th

UPDATE: Sprint has sent over some more information about the chat service from Qik. The free chat service will offer 640x480 video quality. But for things like 480p video and higher, unlimited video archiving and video mail, priority support, the ability to upload and share videos from native phone camera app, you'll have to pay $4.99 a month. Premium services will be free until July 15, 2010.

I'd use qik for a while but I think i'd end up using fring.. it works with skype.

I'd like that info, too. I seems the Fring will connect with Skype users on PCs. That's good enough for me. Maybe Qik has better call/video quality in its free mode, but if they don't connect with Skype users, it's not that useful for me. I'm looking forward to the upcoming Skype app.

I am probably going to be using Fring as well, the only people I do video chats are all on Skype already.
