Awfully quiet about this phone

Anyone think that ICS could be the hold up? You know the hardware is going to be similar to the current Maxx, yet we don't have ICS yet, so wouldn't it be safe to think that ICS may not be fully developed for the Maxx HD either. Maybe they are just planning to release the OS to us and debut the HD at the same time. Who knows.

I rep told me their having trouble with the new Intel stuff and LTE.

Jk.

Reps are awesome.

ICS for the DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR Maxx is right around the corner.

Or this new phone is on schedule, just not the schedule some people on here want it to be on.

I wouldn't think ICS would cause the holdup. I don't know for sure, but I would think it would be easier to install ICS from the get go than to upgrade over GB like they are on the Razors.

Moto had better release some info soon about this device or they are going to lose a lot of potential buyers to Sammy, myself included. I have been very happy with Moto and my DroidX, but I also have an upgrade I'm itching to use, and so far the S3 is in the lead to take my money.

This. Barring some significant announcement in the next few days, I'm going to shelve Motorola in favor of Samsung for a couple years. Whether they'll ever win me back is a crapshoot.

I pre-ordered the sg3, I'm willing to pre-sell it to someone when the Razr Maxx HD comes out.

I heard today that this phone is being delayed until late summer...

Verizon Delays Release Date of Motorola Droid RAZR HD??-?Eastern Morning Herald

Any confimation?
Guess I will probably pull the triger on a Razr Maxx, and then late summer give it to my wife, and upgrade to the HD unless someone has different info...

Don

Makes sense to release this one in (late) August with the DINC4GLTE and SIII as June and July phones.

This is really starting to remind me of the Bionic launch.

I remember I was hoping the Bionic would launch on Verizon so I could lock in Unlimited Data. Motorola ended up missing the cut-off date by a mile and ended up releasing a phone that was mostly unremarkable.

It's looking like the Razr HD could still be months away - that would put it out just before the next iPhone and I'll bet Verizon will already have tiered data in place by then.

It's great to get some new news about the Razr HD but I'm betting it's going to be a day late and a dollar short....

The fcc id on the battery cover is blurred out. Hmmmmm did they already pass fcc verification?

Granted, it wasn't a bold prediction but it proved to be correct. :)

Just like the Bionic, Motorola missed a critical point where Verizon customers have to purchase a phone to "lock-in" their current plan because Verizon's new plans are less attractive. (Unless a customer is willing to give up subvention and pay full retail for their next phone.)

I'm thinking about doing a pre-order for the SIII just so I can force Verizon to subvent my phone for the next two years. I currently have unlimited data on a Maxx that I own outright. If I purchase the SIII I can sell it on eBay and use the funds to put toward the full retail price of a better phone at a later date.

Granted, it's a lot of screwing around to save $250 or so but there would definitely be some satisfaction to making Verizon pay for screwing over their customers.

Not sure if I'm trying to pay full price for the Fighter. I might just end up waiting to see what's good in 2013. I agree that Motorola missed a big opportunity that Samsung cashed in on. Going forward, I'm going to be more picky about phones since I'm paying full retail to keep my unlimited plan.
