I always wait until they come from Huawei OTA.

I usually do but sometimes if I really want something then I will use ff

Not really. You need patience to use ff. Because it's pretty frustrating to use. At least for me.

Old security updates. And I read somewhere the M3 received the Oreo update but mine never got it. Ff doesn't have it either

I was on B197 which had Oct-17 security updates showing Huawei are updating these regularly (at least for some handsets)
