Should the back and menu buttons vibrate on touch? Mine don't but I have a feeling they used too?

Its called haptic feedback. Its in the settings menu. I turned mine off cause it annoying to use if you text alot. Plus it saves power.

Will that also turn it off on the phone dial pad?

Did you ever figure out why the back/menu button stopped vibrating upon pressing them? cause mine stopped vibrating all of the sudden. Checked the haptic settings as well.

Haptic feedback options are in several places. You can turn it off from with the settings menu in the sound and if you are within the phone app and hit the menu there is an option for vibration in there. Haptic feedback is not the same thing as vibration so I assume thats why its settings are in multiple places.
