Back cover creaking sound

Does anyone else's phone creak loudly when you press on the midbottom of the back cover? It sounds like there's extra space so it gets pressed down easier. Wanted to see if its just me. Thanks.

Mine creaks every now and then depending on how I grab it.

yes. Actually the cover will come off if you start prying around the edges although that may make it creak more. Hopefully it will settle down with a case on the back to hold it still.

That doesn't seem good. Some people might not like that their new phone doesn't feel solid in its build quality, espcially a phone as great as the G2.

Pushing in that area mine lets out a little creak. I really had to push around to find a spot to make it produce the noise. Nothing I am concerned about with mine.

Yes, and it bothers me with such a fantastic phone, because with such a fixed cover there is little one can do aside from looking away and covering the issue with a case or sending this week old device in for a repair, uncertain whether it will return in a condition worse than it was sent in!

Any suggestions, iFixit?

My G2 has started to creak a little but it doesn't bother me much because I understand it is plastic and glass expand/shrink at different rates. The warmer spring weather coming in, who knows, I wouldn't be overly concerned with it unless you noticed a bulging (swollen battery) caused by your phone choking on a kit kat. If I can't work out this battery drain issue I'm going to fire off some e-mails. That'll teach em to write better software
