Hmm interesting question, I hadn't given it any thought before.

I guess I cannot part with my iPhone now because it requires the least amount of thinking on my part Lol. They are both equally good as a phone.

if the situation was flipped where I already had my X when I got the iPhone, I am pretty sure I could part with it then.

Well I decided to put my X away for a couple of months. I have a new project and the X was being distracting.

Let's see how soon the "withdrawal symptoms" start.

I'd guess they're kicking in around now.

Must admit, my withdrawals are being eased somewhat by the recent ios 7.1.1 jailbreak release, and the fact ios 8 is around the corner which excites me more than Android L

I have a Note 3 and like it a lot. I loved my Note 2 before that. I also tried the M8 but if I'm going to have a phone that big and awkward to use then I would prefer the Note 3. The M8 is beautiful and I like the UI, but it's just not comfortable to use daily for me. The Moto X is just a great phone. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles if the Note 3, but it isn't meant to. It has features that are just useful and work perfectly. I love the Note line of phones but I find myself carrying the Moto X more.

One big problem for me with the X over the iPhone is updates.

Here in the UK it seems that updates take forever to arrive. Also, my carrier doesn't stock any Motorola phones, can this affect updates?

I can see how that might be a problem for you. Updates to the Moto X is the US have been quick. If updates are a high priority for you then I would look at what phones get updated timely in the UK. That is one positive about Apple. Updates are rolled out all at one time.

Just got my Moto X today. I couldn't be happier. I'm using the unlocked model with a Kuwaiti SIM card...phone detected the 4.4.3 update and installed it with no issues. Decent HSPA+ speeds. Can't wait to get back to the States and get LTE service with it.

So far, I don't even miss the iPhone. I'm glad I went with this.

I'm also a recent convert back to Android. After having an EVO and a Nexus S, I switched over to iPhone 4s / 5 / 5s, but am now back with a Moto X. Completely in love with it.

I think both OS's have converged on a much more similar approach than in years past. Ironically, they seem to have both converged on a system much closer to WebOS. (I think the Pre was still my favorite phone ever)
