I really thought I wanted a pure Android device but I found out I really missed my S9. I love fast charging, being able to personalize, and the Samsung experience. The Pixel is a good device, but I think I am a Samsung lifer.

Samsung Themes will keep me coming back.

Not gonna lie. I've grown to accept Samsung's themes and the UI overall. Works well for me. I use the Microsoft Launcher and it's a nice little package. Plus, I can't live without my Samsung Pay.

Samsung Pay is awesome. I regularly freak out employees in stores that don't have NFC.

Samsung pay is a hard one to leave. It's helped me a ton of times that I've forgotten my wallet or didn't bring the cc I wanted to use.

Samsung pay isn't just a convenience it works everywhere. I have never had a problem with using it anywhere. It is by far the absolute best, plain & simple!

I've had problems, but only at one place with an aincent POS terminal that is problematic even without mobile payments.

I'm addicted to Samsung pay, secret folder, and Samsung dex. Can't live without these now.

I am contemplating leaving Samsung for the Pixel 3 or even gasp, an iPhone. Every Samsung I've had becomes laggy at see point and I am tired of it. I just want my apps to work when I want to use them. Too many issues with the camera lagging, crashing, freezing. Happens on maps also.

I left the max behind and came back to the note. I missed what the phone did and could do and honestly couldnt justify the price tag for the screen.... which is the only reason I got the max... back to the note for me

The only thing I miss from the Note is the stylus - fat fingers. So I found a pack of 3 styli for $5 in a dollar store, and the Pixel 2 is better as far as I'm concerned. I still run a black wallpaper (AMOLED), Nova Launcher and the stock icons. And I prefer unlocking the bootloader to Odin (although I still have 3.09 to 3.12.7 and Prince Comsy ready to go. Never know. (With an unlocked bootloader I can flash a new ROM without having to wipe my apps and data. You can't always get the 4-file version of a ROM for Odin.)

I don't blame you. I am returning my Pixel 3 XL tomorrow. Like you , I have come to love the Samsung software. I honestly feel the pure Android software is way too restrictive which really surprised me. Come on Samsung S10 !

I am using a Note 9 right now, but dont feel like I utilize all the features and rarely use the S-pen. I am still in my 14 day return period, so I may return it for the S9plus.

I cancelled my preorder for the Pixel 3 XL and got a Note 9 instead. Loving it so much right now.

I'm digging the huge battery. The camera is the same as the s9 plus. The screens are different sizes, of course, and I think I prefer the move curved sides of the s9/s9plus. I'm so torn! I will say, though, Samsung has my heart. I have an iPhone 10, and I always come back to my Sammy.

yeah I bounce between the two platforms a lot... but I couldnt justify the iOS experience for the cost this year. yes I couldve gone with the xr.. but I feel like the xr is going to be like the 5c and that phone was a nightmare
