Good morning.

I switch back and forth between my S10 and 4a5g frequently. I've been using the SMS Back up and restore app but find it doesn't always work.
Is there another way to transfer text messages from one Android phone to another that you all can recommend?

Thanks!

Google's own account backup or SmartSwitch should work. Samsung phones don't allow MMS access to 3rd party apps, however, and RCS chats cannot be backed up/transferred, so keep that in mind.

Hi Mustang.

I use the stock Samsung messaging app on the S10 and Google messaging on my Pixel.
Hello.

Its tougher from Google end because they dont have a restore like Samsung, i would of mentioned SMS back up but you tried that already.

If you don't restore the phone from scratch every time (which is what I think you do), I'd suggest using Pulse premium. It offers cloud back up and you can use it to message from web and pretty much everywhere (they have an app for most platforms).
