Backflip Problem

My wife is having a problem with this phone, it is constantly calling random people while she is on a phone call with me. She is beginning to hate this phone and in turn Android. If anybody else has had this issue and fixed it, could you share please? I read in the support page on Moto's site, that non Moto chargers could cause the problem, but thats not our problem as we only use Moto chargers. I'm thinking it may be an application messing up?
