How does one backup the settings and gaming history? Right now, using My Backup and a rooted HTC.

Lil one would protest if I lost the settings again. :)

In the market there is "angry birds backup"

you can use titanium backup.

or more advanced. just copy the highscores.lua file which can be found under /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds/files you can copy that to any other device with Angry Birds installed.

Well, I looked at the backup data from MyBackup and it does backup the high scores and other stuff - including FB data as well.

Guess when I did backup prior to rooting, it did not have the access needed to get Angry Bird data.

Now, where to go next. Rom Manager and then what? :)

Thanks!

Not sure if you're serious, but the next step is to come over the Rooting, ROMs, and Hacks sub-forum!

If you're not that experienced in installing ROMs and whatnot, take some time to look at the guides that are posted there (as well as the one I linked to in my above post in this thread) and then start getting your feet wet, so to speak.

Just don't forget to backup your current ROM before flashing a new one, and you always have a safety net to roll-back to if needed.

kinda having the same data saving issue, didnt know it was so difficult to keep scores....heading for titanium then...thanks.

Damn do I wish I had thought of this sooner! On my Nexus One while I was running CM6, I destroyed Angry Birds (all 3 stars, all golden eggs) but then lost it all when I flashed back to stock. I didn't even think of finding the file that handled that data.
