Backorder Thread (Nov 20th and onwards)

Got this email from one of the CSR i talked to (no idea which one is it. lost count):

I have received a response from Play Hardware Consults, UPS is experiencing an extremely high demand and combined with the holidays they are behind in processing orders. Devices are being processed in the order they are received and we ask for your patience as we are working to get them their package as quickly as possible.

Yeah patience... LOL I doubt UPS is behind in processing especially since stuff from Amazon still arrive on time (and fulfilled by UPS too!)
 
I've been trying from the get-go to use my Discover card. This morning after I updated the card through the specific link sent, I re-added my Discover card, and then saw that there is a full charge pending for the phone (not just the $1 typical pending charge), so I don't know .... I also received emails today saying my phone could be on backorder for 1-2 weeks, but don't know if the CSR was referring to my Nov. 30th purchase or my original one on the 13th.

I got charged for both Nexus 4 now (Nov 13, Dec 5) but didn't get the new backorder email. Let's see how it works out. *Finger cross really hard*
 
I did see a full charge earlier which was pending and later went away. You should better check with them once. I would suggest changing the card details completely this time they ask us to

did you got your device?? also, should i update my cc (i would update the same credit card) even if i didn't got the email saying the cc need to be updated? im looost here :S
Update

My order placed on 27th will be here today, everything went normally for once, absolutely zero issues.

I also received the email last nite saying my cc need to be updated for my order on the 13th to process, which of course is the same exact cc I used for the 27th order.
I updated my cc to a new one just to see if order on 13th will finally process.
I immediately received the successful payment update email.
There seems to be a glitch in their software and it has nothing to do with our credit cards, proof is that the same exact cc processed fine for the order on the 27th.
Well I also received a possible fraud alert call from the new CC as I did with the old CC on the 13th, I have never received these calls before when placing an online order yet google play seems to set them off.
What a mess!

anyway guys, Remember I told you I ordered yesterday and it was approved this morning at 1am/2am ish and i got the shipping email?
MY TRACKING WORKS NOW IT IS IN KENTURKY READY TO SHIPPPPP :DDDD

My advice to you, ignore your Nov 13th order and just make another one. Even thuogh they quote me that they will ship in 6 weeks, it shipped in less than 24 hrs. (Finger cross hopefully I will get it tomorrow morning :D)

My advice to you, ignore your Nov 13th order and just make another one. Even thuogh they quote me that they will ship in 6 weeks, it shipped in less than 24 hrs. (Finger cross hopefully I will get it tomorrow morning :D)

The only thing is that there is no expected scheduled date/time of delivery. But the tracking is there and there is the origin scan too. And it is green, not yellow :D

Still ... I mean, that you were able to get that far in the process when you just ordered it yesterday is impressive/shocking. I figure I can give it a few days to see if I get any kind of shipping update, and if not, just cancel it.
 
I had put in one too on the 30th, but i still havent got any updates on it. I will probably go ahead and change my card details on the wallet account and then start praying :)

I have to say -- and maybe I'm being impatient, haha -- but I was excited to see the Google Play email asking me to update my credit card specific to the order I placed on the 13th, but I haven't heard anything about them processing the order, and my excitement is starting to dwindle .....

Yes, my device ordered on the 27th is here but the my order on the 13th is still pending with no change.

It's a great looking phone but certainly not worth all the freakin aggravation.

So I called chase to just ask them to approve my payment to google. The lady told me that there had been only one attempt at charging my account and they did not decline that payment either. She however agreed to put a note in there to let them approve the payment this time they try. I think Google is not able to charge the account itself

I would call google wallet and see what they say.
 
Niiiiiice, official congrats. Pains me to think that I had actually ordered a second one on the 27th and then cancelled. Ughhh ...
