Backorder Thread (Nov 20th and onwards)

This may already have been discussed, but did anyone that got back ordered and received their phone actually get the shipping charge credited back?
 
I noticed that "xcla1p " was from Illinois. I am from Chicago too. I was just curious if cards in this particular area are being declined?
Just trying to find a pattern here

Hey Yo, I am from Champaign little town here. Nope it is not by city, because my friend got his though he ordered later than me. It might be because of Chase bank, but then again there is probably a few thousand people using Chase Credit Card.


To everyone else, Do not cancel your orders even if there is no response!!! I mean if you have the space in your credit card. I certainly can buy 10 more if i want too, if I don't get the phone any updates. Plus, you can reject the package once it arrives and thus you don't have to pay for anything extra. I did get on the line with that CSR who says he knows how to fix my problem (Btw his name is Dylan, he send me an email a day later); maybe that helped out. Nevertheless if you want to try the CSR route, keep calling until the CSR says he knows what is going on and he can fix it.

On the side note, my Dec 6th order left Kentucky (No idea where is it going) :D
 
UPDATE: I just spoke to a rep with Google Wallet. She told me all 3 of my Nexus 4 purchase orders (including 11/13) have passed authorization, sitting in chargeable, and are just waiting to be shipped, so she's passing me on to hardware dep't to find out that end. But she said, no issues with credit card at this point. Any delays from here, I'm guessing will be an issue between Google and UPS. Hopefully I'll get an answer soon about why I haven't received a tracking number yet on the 11/13 order.

UPDATE #2: My Google Wallet rep spoke to someone in hardware, then came back on the line to pass on info. She said my 11/13 order will ship before the others, but that they don't know when it will ship because they're waiting to replenish stock. She even said that she spoke to someone who ordered a phone last week and it already shipped, because as they trickle in, they get sent out. She claimed that she wouldn't be surprised if my phone didn't ship in the next 24 hours. Yeah, right, but whatever. At least no issues with the credit card. Now time to wait!

When I asked about the emails saying they have a phone on hold for me, she said it's true, on hold, but they kept selling out, so just waiting on more to come in.

That's what representative told me last week on my 13th order. and still nobody knows what happened to the 13th order.
 
I don't know whether you want to know more about my 5th Dec order (I am not trying to rub it at your face, hopefully you guys see it as information)

Anyway they finally updated the time/delivery stuff:
United States 12/05/2012 4:12 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS
That means they shipped it out 4 hours after I ordered, even before it was approved by my CC company. To tell you the truth, i think it was really that CSR who pushed this order out. Otherwise why would they ship out phone that hadn't been approved by my CC company or when there is still a ton of other orders to fulfill.

Btw I did get this phone unsynch (when i checked out they asked whether I want it to link to my Google Acc and i said no).

Tell me if you still want to hear the updates on this phone. Otherwise I can shut up about this order.

Dude, certainly not bitter at you (we all know this is Google's fault). Seriously, good for you. I'm definitely interested in knowing more, getting updates. If others aren't, then do me a favor and just PM me. Thanks!

I ordered all three synched. I wonder if that made any sort of difference in shipping delays.

Pretty sure if you synch them it will take time for the CSR to do it. I think the Limbo Unit was synch and this unit wasn't.
 
This is such BS. I got the same CC error email just now. My card is fine, but I guess now Google is putting it on us by saying it is our fault for the delay!! PLEASE! I even had called AMEX to make sure everything was fine and they ran a test charge... so again, such BS!!!!

Just make a new gmail account and use another credit card. I actually just made the Gmail account just to buy the nexus 4s because i don't want to get hacked with my old gmail i use for spams

I ordered two, one on 11/13 from an account I had to create just to make the transaction go through (unsynched) and one on 11/29 also unsynched (from my true account). Neither order is moving... I don't think synching slows things down. It might make them faster if anything.

That said, people are reporting that checking yes to that box has no impact whatsoever and your device is delivered unsynched anyway...
 
Updated my information to a new credit card and called them to allow the charge to go through. Now fingers crossed and i wait too
 
Anyone from Canada have info on the Nexus 4? I'm thinking of buying one when they get restocked but I just want to hear any Canadians who may have ordered this phone and are either still waiting or already received their unit.
