Backorder Thread (Nov 20th and onwards)

So my tracking went live and it will be here on Monday, I still can't believe it's actually shipped.
I think adding a new cc to my wallet and making it default for purchases helped it go through for some reason.
 
Same here, its supposed to reach on Monday. I did call UPS to check why I am not getting it on Saturday, they said its not a package with priority. Hence it wont be delivered on a Satruday

Saturday delivery is indeed extra and Google obviously does not think you are that important. I am glad you guys are getting yours... not a word from Google or customer service on my end. Nice!
 
The last I've heard about my order:

Excellent news. I was wondering if anyone else got any news. It feels like we are running out of steam - either you are all getting your phones finally or we have slowly given up...
 
With respect to the reverse charge, i saw it too yesterday on my account momentarily. However google reversed the reverse charge :)
Just shows how screwed up their system is currently

Oh really? Well, that's comforting to know. Will see, though. Last I keep hearing, they're waiting for more phones before they can ship more out.

Hi guys Im back.

Still waiting for my Nov 13th unit. Two people had bugged me to sell them my 'extra' unit so I still have to wait for that to happen. And google hadn't reply any email or updates so we shall see what happens

My head is spinning... here is the reply to my BBB complaint (also posted on XDA):

12/07/2012 WEB BBB RECEIVE BUSINESS RESPONSE : Hi,
Thanks for your question. It looks like your order was cancelled in our system due to a failed payment. You'll need to update your payment info in Google Wallet, or else cancel your order and place a new order.

Very nice, Google, and so expected. It's not their fault, it's mine. My card was declined. How could they possibly have anything to do with that? They are Google, they never make mistakes... wow!

Havent they realized that they hare having problems. Would BBB verify if the reply is true or if Google is just making up reasons?

On the other hand my phone just arrived. Will have to wait till I reach back home to actually see it though

Good for you. Now I am officially jealous! I think I am going to cancel both orders with Google and buy something else somewhere else and stay away from Google forever. It's funny how I tried to buy a Galaxy Nexus from them and it was a disastrous experience so I canceled (nothing like this though). I guess I should have known...

So, Windows Phone or iOS? I have been on Symbian and now Meego for years. Wanted to "upgrade"... Thoughts? Cause it ain't gonna be Android, that's for sure :)
 
Dude dont loose hope now. You have waited long enough. Its just some more time. I have ordered two devices too with the other pending. Just give it like another week

I am not seeing any movement on my account and I am leaving for the Holidays on 12/19, so if it does not get to me by then, there is no point... I will give it until the end of this week, but after that, it's gone.

Me too! Tomorrow will be 4 weeks. New orders are being filled next day but Nov. 13th orders continue to sit there. They have only this week to ship to me as well. It is not enough to cancel or even to SPAM them on all the blogs. That is why they will hear from me via registered mail. Here is where you need to go: Management team ? Company ? Google

Honestly, I don't know that I have the energy for this. If our current experience is any indication, you will not get a reply from Google if you write. I am not saying don't do it, but I think at that point, I will just let my wallet talk and stop buying things from Google. In the grand scheme of things it will probably be a drop in the proverbial bucket, but it will make me feel better. Just like I avoid ATT like the plague, I will do the same with Google. In some cases, I will probably not have a choice, but when given the choice, it won't be Google...
 
Here's my latest update. Just got off the phone with a Google Play CSR. He put me on hold to speak to a specialist (they apparently can speak to them now by phone, haha). Instead of patching me through, he told me the specialist just said it would be easier for the CSR to just relay info to me. Anyhow, same news -- they're looking into the issue as to why my phone isn't shipping out, but I should be receiving an email from the specialist. Still in disbelief over all of this.
