Backorder Thread (Nov 20th and onwards)

Not that this is going to necessarily help get our phones any quicker (or at all!), but noticed on XDA people are starting to tweet complaints using the hash tag: #whereismyNexus4

It is amazing to me that Google is putting this phone back on sale in Canada and the UK when they obviously cannot figure out how to ship it to customers (including the 11/27 orders). Are they paying absolutely no attention to what a disaster this is?
 
Do any of you have any new updates on your phones guys?

Nope. Nada. I emailed them, i.e., replied to the last few emails they sent me, and I haven't heard anything. I specifically responded to the email asking me to be patient for 1 or 2 business days. Today is the second business day, and nope, haven't heard jack shiznit back ... frustrating to say the least ....
 
I just got two different emails from them
1. It says that my request is going to a specialist and they are investigating the matter
2. It says that my order is in processing and i will get the shipping details when it ships

Now i am starting to guess that they just send out automated emails and there is not truth in them. They never stick to what they say. I hope the second email is true though :)
 
Instead of getting mad at Google and be unproductive, lets play a game. When do you think we will receive it at this rate?

I have a feeling it is going January for us Limbo Lv 3.

Actually, my money is on never. I expect that one of two things will happen:
a. Nothing
b. Google will cancel our orders
 
By the way guys, I just try calling Google HQ at 1-650-253-0000. Press 0 to reach the real Google customer service by Google. Unfortunately they know nothing, but if they work at Google and we spam them, it might bring up a red flag. The customer service actually doesn't know the Google Play number and took a while for her to search for it and i conclude the main HQ have no idea the situation at Google Play as for now.

It is true that customer shouldn't be the one worrying about the shipping/services, but hey we could try something different here.
 
A free phone would be a nice courtesy on Google's part. But that's just wishful thinking, sadly. But I seriously would settle for a legitimate answer at this point. Anything.

Yup, this is seeming like automated responses. I've gotten both emails before ...

So this morning I wrote, "It's been two business days now and still no word on my phone being shipped. I ordered it on November 13. What's the status?" This is the response I just got:

We have escalated this issue to a specialist about your order. Please bare with us while we get your device out to you as soon as we can.

I take it the 3-week shipping window is out the door. I also take it that any shipping estimate at this point is unrealistic to expect. Fantastic!

Honestly, the thing that worries me is that I ordered another one on Nov 29th - when I was finally able to get through with the second batch - and I fully expect the same crap to happen. I got the 5-6 weeks shipping. So, here is how I see it going:
1. Ordered on 11/29 with 5-6 weeks lead time
2. Credit card pending charge went through just fine
3. Credit card pending charge drops in a few days
4. Limbo level 3 all over again, because they will never figure out how to charge the card once the pending charge goes away (I think this is what is going on here, amongst other things)

I could be wrong, but I think the issue is that there is no issue really, except Google's systems are somehow not equipped to re-initiate a charge on a credit card. It sounds like they can use an existing charge - pending or not - but if the pending charge disappears, then they don't know what to do and don't know that they don't know what to do... anyway, no hope here. I have even stopped monitoring my gmail account altogether (I had to create one for this order since I could not get through on mine)...

I will continue to monitor this thread to see if something happens. My BBB complaint has been sent to Google. Let's see if that does anything because it is effectively my last hope.
 
At times i just feel that our phones are gonna come when they are, we should just try and have fun or play prants with the CSR's,. But later, i feel that they are at no fault and they are just at the receiving end of a lot of crap. I think they have had enough already. We should somehow target Larry Page
 
Here's a new response I got (to a different email thread I have going with the CSRs):

We've escalated your issue to specialists on our team and will perform a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the issue.
These investigations can take some time, but we sincerely appreciate your patience while we investigate for you.
Please don't hesitate to reply directly to this email if you have more information to add.

Update
My 27th order has just shipped, it was in the 2-3 slot.
My 13th oder is still totally in limbo and still in pending.
I figured the 13th orders were seriously hosed and that is why I ordered on the 27th, what a freakin stressful mess this phone has been to order.
Google there is no excuse for this!!!
