Backup help

First let me say that for the most part I am really enjoying my S8+.

Now I am having the dreaded DQA stopped working error message since I accepted the system update. I will be returning my Note 5 to Verizon soon to get $20 a month plan on this phone so I won't be able to use Smart Switch option anymore to restore my new phone with all my info from the Note 5 once it goes back.

Is there an option to to backup the S8+ onto a computer and if I need to restore it just do it via my saved info on the computer?

Why wouldn't you just set up your new phone and you are good?

I think I am missing something here.

I guess it's not live yet. There is one coming that will fix the DQA error message. Hopefully this week.
