Backup Photon Q data e.g. text messages?

How do I backup all my photos and other data e.g. text messages?

You will need some separate software. I BELIEVE that your Google account keeps your contacts but that's it. Google+ and drop box save your photos automatically. I have both. Although Google+ is forced on me, as long as you don't set auto backup photos to public, then you're fine, I recommend DropBox. You should check it out for your PC and smartphone alike.
