I Have pictires in the back up gallery that i dont want on the phone . How can i delete them
I did a master reset and wiped the Galaxy S3 clean and now they are back

Please help

Which backup system are they saved under? If you look above at my longer post you'll see what you have to do. The first thing is getting on the computer and going to the website that holds the backup files delete them there. Once that is done you can turn off the auto backup on the phone. That way no more of your photos will automatically be uploaded to the cloud backups. There is one for Google + there is Verizon's backup plus and there is the Samsung backup. There may be others that I haven't looked for but those are the three big ones.

Here is how I did it.

On my Laptop, i signed into Google (PicasaWeb) went to albums, click on each picture then delete.
After they were deleted went into my phone,
settings...
Application Manager....
(scroll /click on ALL)
scroll down to Gallery....
click Clear Data.. then OK

You should be good to go.

I hope this helps you. It took me a while to figure this out.

I did exactly what you said... Worked great! However! I went back into my Gallery it wasnt their. Then I exited and went back into Gallery.. And it came back! So I repeated your steps again and again and still keeps coming back.. Galaxy S3.. Please Help!

I have the same issue but with a Samsung Galaxy Light. Under the Application Manager there is no section for gallery and there is not settings for gallery either. Help!

Nikie,
The Gallery is a built-in application - in order to find it in the Application manager you have to scroll to the right until you get to the ALL tab. Then scroll down the list until you find the Gallery app.

I've got an older LG phone. It's an LG-L38C.....this didn't work to delete auto backed-up photos, well, I can't see the photos on the phone but a photo rectangle is still there for each of the 82 photos that were there. I don't think my phone has "Cloud". If the memory isn't effected by the photos, why won't my phone allow me to install the iheart radio app? I don't have any other apps on my phone. Suggestions, ideas?

So, i regrettable used the backup plus program on my phone. I've used it before to back up my contacts successfully, but not since i got my S3.. Anyways right to the crux of the matter. The program supposedly "backed up" my pictures and videos to my email (even though i've looked for them in there and can't find them) and for some reason, left duplicate copies in my gallery on my phone under the label "backup plus". Not only is this irritating to have cluttering up my gallery, but I CANT FREAKING DELETE THEM. Sorry for the caps-lock, this is just really irritating me. I've tried the traditional method of deleting them by just clicking on them and hitting the menu key then delete, and i've tried mass deleting them. None of it works. It just doesn't do anything. I've even tried holding on a picture and going to "details" and finding its location through the file manager and deleting it that way. None of it works.
The worst part is, I don't know if these duplicate albums are taking MORE space on my phone. If so then it really really REALLY bothers me. Either way, i want these gone. At least to appeal to my inner OCD kid. I hate having unnecessary stuff cluttering up my phone.
Somebody please shed some insight into this. I really don't care if they are backed up or not, or if they are taking up extra memory. I just would prefer to disable backup assistant and not have to deal with this stuff.
Can somebody give me some advice?
Thanks
